Folle Blanche
Folle Blanche is a rare grape variety found in western France, primarily used in the production of dry white wines and brandy. It is known for its high acidity and neutral flavor, making it ideal for brandy production. Folle Blanche is highly susceptible to rot and disease, which has hindered its recovery in the wake of the phylloxera epidemic of the late 19th century. It is mostly blended with other grape varieties and is mostly used in the production of Armagnac and, to a lesser extent, Cognac.
