Trajadura (Treixadura)
Trajadura, also known as Treixadura, is a grape variety found in Portugal's Vinho Verde wines. It is known for adding body and alcohol to the wine, as well as crisp, citrus characters with some stonefruit and apple. It's grown in the cool, wet climate of the Atlantic coast and is prized for its low acidity and high alcohol levels. It's also commonly used in Galicia, Spain, where it is the principal grape of Ribeiro, making varietal wines and blends with other varieties like Godello, Albarino, Palomino and Macabeo.
