This is an intensively flavoured Orange Region Cabernet, indicative of its Reserve status. Sweet, complex fruit flavours with a tight structure. The cool climate varietal flavours are balanced beautifully. The length is long and velvety with the oak and dusty tannins adding complex layers.

Winemaking Highlights
The best Cabernet Sauvignon from the Angullong vineyard was fermented with a submerged cap with twice daily pump-overs to extract colour and flavour. The wine was then matured in premium oak puncheons (30% new, 70% 2-3 year old) for 12 months.

"Full bottle 1,462 g. Screwcap. From the foothills of Mount Canobolas in the cooler highlands of Orange, NSW. From their Angullong vineyard. Fermented with a submerged cap with twice daily pump-overs to extract colour and flavour. The wine was then matured in premium oak puncheons (30% new, 70% two- to three-year old) for 12 months.
Just such outrageously scrumptious fruit that it makes me want to go and dance on the kitchen table doing hair-brush karaoke to Daughtry's Long Live Rock and Roll. Deeply darkly jewelled fruit swathed in sumptuously velvet tannins, and shot through with glistening orange-drenched, redcurrant-sharp, cumin-spiced, broad, ripe acidity. Ripe and rich and voluptuous but every curve is muscle and every ounce of sweetness comes in cut-glass crystal. Despite its obvious ambition, there is a wicked edge and playfulness and ready casanova charm to this wine. Humour noir. Voldemort meets Morticia Adams meets grandma's home-made blackcurrant pie. Basically, it's yum. And begging for anything wrapped in salty sweet prosciutto or bacon... (TC)"
