"Full bottle 1,286 g. Screwcap. Part of what they call their Contour Series ('hand crafted wines all sewn up'). Barrel fermented.
Smells like melted butter drizzled over tinned peaches bathed in thick cream. Definitely in the 'oaky Chardonnay' category with rich tropical fruit (think Alphonso mango, custard apple, ripe ripe passion-fruit syrup) but thanks to intentional stone-ground, finely gritty minerality and a trace of dried thyme that is amplified on the finish, as well as acidity that threads silvery specifics through the lush drench of fruit, this turns out to be an elegant whole. This would be my 'pork cutlet in cream and mustard sauce wine'. Or tartiflette. (TC)"
